Rummy is a family of card games where the goal is to form melds, which are sets of three or four cards of the same rank or runs of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. Players take turns drawing and discarding cards to build melds, and the first player to get rid of all their cards, or the player with the most points at the end of a predetermined number of hands, wins.
